WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
The Liverpool Marine Engineers' & Naval Architects' Guild is a registered charity that exists to support people in the Liverpool and Manchester regions. Founded in the 1890s, we raise funds to provide financial assistance to men and women who have worked in the marine & marine-related professions in the event that they or their dependants are experiencing serious illness and/or related financial hardship.
We also provide grants to support young people at the start of their training in the maritime sector to obtain professionally recognised qualifications in a range of
marine-related disciplines.

110th ANNUAL BANQUET
(The Plumbers' Ball)
15th NOVEMBER 2024
Held each year on the third Friday in November, the Guild's Annual Banquet - widely and affectionately known as The Plumbers' Ball - attracts over 450 guests from across the UK and internationally.
The 2023 Plumbers' Ball was a resounding success, rasing much needed funds to help support our good causes.
Please join us for our 110th Annual Banquet at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, on Friday, 15th November 2024.

AUTUMN GOLF TOURNAMENT
WIRRAL GOLF COURSE
27th SEPTEMBER 2024
A series of highly competitive golf tournaments is organised each year to allow individual members and teams to compete for a range of prestigious trophies, the finest of which only Guild members are eligible to win.
The day is rounded off with dinner in the clubhouse, which is open to both golfing and non-golfing members and their guests.
Join us at Wirral Golf Club on 27th September 2024.

70th SPRING BALL
(The Plumbers' Spring Ball)

Our 70th Spring Ball will be held in June 2025 - date and location to be confirmed.
Join us and help raising funds for our beneficiaries and good causes.
Ticket cost to be confrmed. Tables seat up to 10.

APPRENTICE AWARDS
2024
Our Annual Apprentice Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence in the field of engineering. Businesses that are members of the Guild may nominate one of their Apprentices for the 2024 awards, which will be celebrated in January 2025.
Details will be published in the Guild e-newsletter once nominations open later in the year.

Individual membership costs from only £20.00 a year.
All fees raised through membership and our chatiry events directly support our work with beneficiaries suffering financial hardship as a result of old age, illness or death of a family member, as well as assisting young people to fund study fees for professional qualifications that will help ensure an ongoing supply of talent into our region's newly-thriving maritime industry.
